If I am from out of state, or Country how do I get from the airport to the school in Sulphur Springs, TX.

If you are flying in to attend the Fire Academy we will pick you up at either of the major airports in the Metroplex.  DFW or Dallas Love Field.


Where will I stay when coming in for the 2 week online skill session.

The lead instructor has a bunkhouse of sorts that the online students stay in at no extra charge.  He is available at night for any additional help if it is needed. 


Is there  Financial Aid available?  

For Traditional classroom courses we have been approved for VA Benefits.  Our training has also been approved training for HB2604 and TIFMAS grants through the Texas Forest Service.


Where do the students stay if they are coming in for the 12 week traditional class and/or the 8 week EMT course?

Brinker Volunteer Fire Department has housing for students for $250.00 per month.  In addition to staying with them if your grades are kept at an 80 or above average  they will allow you to become a volunteer and rideout as an observer on emergency calls.


When do I have to confirm for my skill session?

Online Fire Academy students must confirm 3 weeks prior to the start date.  All other courses must be confirmed at least 7 business days prior to a scheduled upcoming skill session.

6.  When do new courses start?

       We have new courses starting the 1st and 15th of each month, with a 3 day window.  If we don't have your application by noon  the 3rd class day you will be moved to the next start date.  Or if the 2nd and 3rd class days land on a weekend or holiday weekend.
