Instructor Level I Training is finally here!
Our on-line presentation is available. Students will utilize the IFSTA, Fire And Emergency Services Instructor, textbook as their primary reference as they view the numerous powerpoint presentations and learn the objectives as outlined by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
Upon successful completion of our Training partner, Kilgore College Fire Academy's on-line portion of the presentation, the student will attend a one-day skill session. While at the skill session, our instructors will review the key points of the course and each student will be issued a prepared lesson plan.
Each student will instruct a classroom session utilizing the lesson plan provided. Field examiner/instructors will evaluate the performance. Successful completion of these skills are a required portion of the course.
At the conclusion of the skills session, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion which will be forwarded to the Texas Commission on Fire Protection in order to establish the students testing site, date, etc. We urge you to visit Kilgore College Fire Academy website at www.kilgore.edu for additional information.
Or, if there are several students in the same department or area in need of the same course, Fire In Texas will send an instructor to your department and actually conduct the training at your facility.
Call us for additional information regarding this course or enrollment details.
